Refinishing

Whether you've had wood floors for a long time or just discovered them under old carpeting, you've probably considered refinishing them.

Refinishing your floors adds great beauty to your home as well as adding value . There are a few things to keep in mind before you take on a project  like this.

     The expense of floor refinishing starts at $ 1.55 per square foot.  additional costs are usually   based  on a square foot cost. For  example, additional polyurethane coats or adding a stain  (color) to your wood floors. Stairs are an added expense, a set of stairs range around $ 250.00.

       The polyurethane finish that we use take approximately 6 to 8 hour to dry.  When the floors are dry to the touch you can walk on them with stocking feet until the following morning.  There is a curing time, you will need to be careful on your newly refinished floors for  approximately 10 days.

 

      Before we come to your home you will need to remove all the furniture in the rooms where the floors will be refinished.  All pictures and curtains also should be removed. If your have carpeting that is installed on the flooring you will to remove it. We also remove carpeting for an additional cost.  The floors should  be clean and ready for sand when we come to your home.
